Michael Benedetto
Hello! I am a member of the employer relations team and am focused on engaging with employers from a variety of industries who are looking to connect with U-M students. I love to interact with students to learn more about their interests and career aspirations in order to better connect them with potential employers. I work directly with undergraduate and recently graduated students in both 1 on 1 and group settings to help guide them on their career journey.
Tim Cavnar, Ph.D.
Tim Cavnar holds a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. His past research, teaching, and administrative work have all focused on supporting students of diverse backgrounds as they pursue their academic and professional goals. He has a particular interest in working with graduate students, and as a Ph.D. Career Coach in the University Career Center, Tim is passionate about building his skills and knowledge base to better help Ph.D. students thrive in today’s challenging job market.
Kirsten Elling, Ph.D.
Kirsten supports the career development of U-M's Ph.D. students through 1:1 career coaching and counseling, program development and delivery, and service as liaison to Rackham Graduate School. She has been engaged in gender and diversity issues throughout her career, and brings a holistic, collaborative approach to the important work of helping students navigate their career development and educational paths.
A proud U-M alumna (undergrad), she received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University, Chicago.
Joelle Fundaro Randall
Joelle loves helping students articulate their skills, values, and interests as related to their future careers and interests. She provides 1:1 career counseling and coaching to undergraduate and graduate students, and coordinates and presents a variety of workshops, programs, and events.
Meagan Hart-Molloy
Meagan is the Experiential Learning & Immersion Coordinator within the University Career Center. In this role, they are primarily responsible for coordinating student immersions across various industries, engaging with employers, and meeting with undergraduate and graduate students for career coaching appointments (exploration, negotiating, interview strategy, job search tools, career assessments, etc.).
Nate Hill
As the Social Media & Community Engagement Strategist, Nate manages the University Career Center's online presence ⏤ including the UCC's email, website, social media presence. He's excited about the opportunity to connect with you and other students using online technologies.
Ané Holland
Ané is a Career Coach at the UCC. She is energized and heartened to hear students describe their interests and future aspirations, and is proud to play a supportive role in a student's journey as they work towards accomplishing their goals. Part of her role also includes working with students, staff, faculty and community partners to operate the Clothes Closet.
Louise E. Jackson
Louise currently serves as the Director of the University Career Center. She is passionately committed to helping students through higher education and career development support. She firmly believes that career development and career services for students have the potential to change lives significantly. She has formerly served within the University of California system, highlighting career success for underrepresented first-generation college graduates, and at the University of Michigan, serving 650,000, the largest alum body in the world.
Terri LaMarco
As the Senior Associate Director, Terri spends her time facilitating for today and planning for tomorrow. She believes in the power of possibilities, unfettered thinking and an open mind. She feels it is an absolute privilege to work with the University Career Center’s talented staff and encourages you to put their expertise to work for you.
Chelsea Moore
Chelsea serves as Assistant Director at the University Career Center (UCC), providing strategic oversight and management for our career coaching and advising team. In addition, Chelsea coaches and counsels undergraduate and graduate students from a wide spectrum of career interests in individual counseling and advising appointments. She is the UCC liaison to student veterans and to the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.
Chelsea received her M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Virginia.
Angelicia Morton
Angelicia is probably the first person you will see when you enter the University Career Center as she manages the Information Desk. You will also see her at one of the many fairs that the office coordinates. She enjoys meeting new and familiar faces as they stop in the office for an appointment or just to say hello. She is always ready to connect you with one of the advisors in the office.
Elizabeth Schaller
Elizabeth serves on our employer relations team, building and maintaining relationships with top employers in various industries who are looking to recruit UM students. She loves learning more about the students interests and what they are looking for in a career, as well as what the employers are looking for in our students. She also works directly with students in group and one-on-one settings during all phases of their career development.
Alexis Schmidt
Alexis serves as a Career Coach at the University Career Center. Whether you are just beginning your job and internship search or want your resume reviewed, Alexis meets with students individually on a variety of different topics. Alexis prides herself in making sure the students she works with feel valued, supported, and seen as individuals who each have a different path to follow.
In addition to coaching, Alexis works on the office's programming initiatives and manages the Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations Career Track.
Sally Schueneman
Sally works with undergraduate students through advising appointments and workshops. She serves as the liaison for the School of Education and works with all students including pre-med and pre-law. In addition to advising responsibilities, Sally coordinates all of UCC's career and graduate school fairs.
Zachary Tanana
Zachary serves as the office manager for the University Career Center (UCC). Assisting the director in the administration of the department, he facilitates the operations of the UCC. He supports the Career Center in the areas of departmental financials, human resources, procurement, and general administration. Before coming to the UCC, Zachary joined the university as a supervisor with Michigan Medicine, where he worked toward patient safety by coordinating environmental services operations throughout the medical campus.
Nicholas Vanderpool
Nick is the Pre-Professional Services Coordinator at the UCC, supporting pre-law and pre-health students as they navigate planning their careers. He also manages the Health and Law career tracks. He has several years experience with 1:1 coaching, and he is passionate about helping students explore, discover, plan, and embark on their career journeys. In his spare time, he loves movies, music, and video games.
Rachel Zhang
Rachel is the Career Coach for International Students, connecting international students with tools and resources that can increase their career readiness. She is in charge of sending out a newsletter that features news, events, and opportunities for all international students. In addition, Rachel supports students through 1-on-1 advising and programming. Outside of work, you will see Rachel a lot in Lao Pot because hotpot is her favorite food in the world.
Student Staff
Evan Boyd
Evan Boyd is a freshman from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Business Administration in the Ross School of Business. Evan is currently on the executive board of the Black Business Undergraduate Society serving in the ambassador role. Evan will be working as a Peer Advisor for the UCC. During his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and spending time with friends. He is also an avid shoe collector and loves shoes.
Max Burgida
Max Burgida is a sophomore from New Jersey studying Industrial & Operations Engineering. As the Recruitment & Fairs Assistant, he provides support to employers on the University's recruitment service, Handshake, and helps with university wide fairs and on-campus interviews. Outside of work and school Max enjoys acting, watching movies, watching and playing sports, biking, hiking, camping, and hanging out with friends.
Elsa Hall
Elsa Hall is a sophomore studying Political Science with a minor in Intergroup Relations. She grew up in North Carolina and loves cats, reading, ballet, and theater. Outside of the Career Center, Elsa works at the Program on Intergroup Relations, where she facilitates workshops on social justice. She is passionate about encouraging those around her, and hopes to bring this to the students she works with at the UCC as a Clothes Closet Student Coordinator.
Gabriella Hani
Gabriella Hani is a Sophomore from Chicago, Illinois, majoring in Movement Science at the School of Kinesiology. Beyond academics she thrives on moments with loved ones, exploring new restaurants, traveling and dedicating her time to volunteering at the University Health Services PT clinic. Soon, shell extend her support as an information desk assistant at the UCC, exemplifying her commitment to both her education and community.
Katie Keim
Katie Keim is a Student Coordinator for the Public Service Intern Program after a year in the program in Ann Arbor and Washington DC. She is a rising junior in the Ford School, studying public policy with minors in economics and history. She is a first-generation college student and extremely passionate about working with other first-generation students to expand their opportunities. Katie has interned at the Federal and Local levels of government, along with the Wayne County Public Defender’s Office.
Hailey Love
Hailey Love is Sophomore from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Business Administration in the Ross School of Business and minoring in Writing. Hailey is currently a Business Analyst Lead for Apex Consulting, a Financial Analyst for BlackGen Capital, and the Vice President of Membership and External Relations for the Black Business Undergraduate Society. She also serves as a Student Assistant for the Lloyd Scholars for Writing and the Arts program and a model for EnspiRed Modeling group.
Jacqueline Minken
Jacqueline is a rising junior majoring in Biology, Health, and Society (BHS). She is originally from Newport Beach, California. On campus, Jacqueline is on the e-board for the pre-medical club and is a part of many study groups and other clubs. In her spare time, Jacqueline loves to read, ski, play beach volleyball, and cook!
Taylor Newton
Taylor is a Sophomore from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Biology, Health and Society in the College of LSA. She serves on the executive board of the Black Undergraduate Medical Association and is an active member of many other clubs including the Black Student Union and the University Blood Initiative. A fun fact about Taylor is she has been shark diving without a cage with marine biologists in the Pacific Ocean! Taylor will be assisting people as an Informational Desk Assistant and a Peer Advisor at the UCC!
Vaishvi Salvi
Vaishvi is a Sophomore in the College of LSA, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science. She is from Northville, MI and enjoys include watching football, fashion, languages, and traveling. Something on her bucket list is to visit Greece and spend time with locals there!
Kyle Thompson
Kyle Thompson (he/they) is a Graduate Student studying at Eastern Michigan University where he is pursuing his Master's in Educational Leadership: Higher Education/Student Affairs. Kyle earned his undergraduate degree in Music from Eastern, where he was a Music Education major for 4.5 years. He regularly performs and teaches around the Ann Arbor area, so keep an eye out for him if you attend any theatre shows! He is excited to help students prepare for the workforce and help them align their personal goals alongside their professional goals.
Ryan Tippy
Ryan is a Junior from South Lyon, Michigan. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Science. On campus, Ryan is involved in his pre-health fraternity Delta Epsilon Mu and does research on synthetic polymer chemistry. In his free time, Ryan loves to run, bike, ski, and hike.
Izzy Tomlinson
Hi! My name is Isabella "Izzy" Tomlinson and I am a senior at the Gerald R. Ford School of Policy. This is my second year as student coordinator for the 55-year-old Public Service Intern Program and was a student in the program in 2021! Most of my time is spent being involved in the Ford School as President of UGC and doing research on the side. I have loved working for PSIP and the UCC, and I am so excited to continue!
Tina Vu
Tina (she/they) is a Metro Detroit, Michigan-raised first-year student pursuing International Studies and Economics. She serves as the Student Marketing Assistant for the University Career Center, Social Media Coordinator for AccessScholarships, and Organization Peer Advisor for the Center for Campus Involvement.
Beyond the classroom and workplace, Tina enjoys pilates, learning languages, curating culturally-varied music playlists, and going on spontaneous adventures with her friends and family.
Barbie Weingust
Barbie is a junior who transferred to U-M from Oakland Community College. Her home is in Clarkston, Michigan. She is pursuing a degree in Communications. She will be working in the University Career Center and is looking forward to helping you. In her spare time, she likes to read and write and spend time with her family.
Eva Yu
Eva is a senior from Warren, MI, majoring in Actuarial Mathematics. She is currently part of the Business Division on the UM Solar Car Team and serves as a mentor in the Chinese Student Association. This year, she will partake in both as an information desk assistant and a peer advisor. Outside of school, she enjoys exploring towns, spotting bridges, watching sunrises/sunsets, and driving around admiring different cities. She has recently started getting into snowboarding and is excited to start the season off with new gear.
