Parking Information For Fairs
Fair Location
On campus Fairs are at the Michigan Union (530 S. State Street) or Michigan League (911 North University) with check-in on the 2nd floor
Curbside Drop Off - Staff are available to deliver materials to your table while you park. Review your Fair details for times.
Nursing Career Fair: Please watch for special directions emailed in November.

Staying at an on-campus hotel?
We suggest walking to the event. On-campus hotels are within walking distance of the Michigan Union and Michigan League.
Staying at an off-campus hotel?
Take a hotel shuttle (when available) or use a local taxi service, or ride share option such as Uber and Lyft.
Validated Parking
The University Career Center will validate up to 6 hours of career event parking at the following parking structures. Please see map, below, for additional detail. All parking signs in the structures apply. The University Career Center is not responsible for parking violation tickets.

As on many large campuses, parking is challenging and extremely limited. Construction on campus and increased demand for faculty/staff parking has led the Parking Services office to limit visitor parking. Therefore, the University Career Center is not able to sell visitor permits or provide parking validation. Whenever possible, we strongly suggest the use of airport shuttle, taxi, or ride share services to avoid the challenges of parking. The following suggestions are provided to make your visit to the University of Michigan as easy and pleasant as possible.
Arrive early
Plan to arrive early leaving yourself time to park and settle in before your first interview.
Hotel facilities
If you are staying at one of the hotels near campus (see list below), you may want to leave your car at the hotel and walk to the University Career Center as on-campus parking is limited.
U-M Visitor Lot
The visitor parking lot just north of the Student Activities Building may be accessed from Thompson Street. There are limited numbered spaces and a central pay machine. The fee is $2.00 per hour between the hours of 6:00 am–6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.
Maynard Street Public Parking Garage
This city-run parking structure offers a nearby alternative. Less than two blocks from the University Career Center, this is a gated lot with payment due at departure. The rate is $1.20 per hour, 24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday.
Taxi and Rideshare Service
Local taxi services are also an alternative to locating on-campus parking. Check with your hotel for information on taxi service to the Michigan Union area. Please allow up to 30 minutes for pick up. Both Lyft and Uber operate in the Ann Arbor area.
Airport Shuttles
Shuttles are available for transportation to and from Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

On-campus hotels offer the best parking option. All are within easy walking distance of the Student Activities Building (University Career Center office) and the Michigan Union (career fair site):
