As the Social Media & Community Engagement Strategist, I manage the University Career Center’s online presence ⏤ including the UCC’s website/online tools, email campaigns, and social media accounts. I’m excited about the opportunity to connect with you and other students to learn more about how the UCC can assist you in reaching your goals.

As a 2x Michigan alum (who initially transferred into U-M as part of a dual-degree program), my advice to transfer students (as well as any other students) is to venture away from campus and go on trips with different U-M offices. Whether that’s an Alternative Spring Break trip, a career exploration trip with the UCC, or a trip with a student org you’re involved with, trips in general are a great opportunity to meet new people, explore new places, and learn about things you might not have known otherwise. I didn't take advantage of this during my time as an undergrad, but I did get to experience it as a grad student. However, being in Student Life now, I'm aware of just how many other opportunities there are so I hope you have the opportunity to take advantage of them while you're still a student. Michigan offers many opportunities, but you might only hear about them in passing because there’s so much to do on campus. So when you hear about a trip, look into it, and give yourself the opportunity to truly consider it.
