Visitor Information for Campus Interviews at the University Career Center
“Room Only” reservation?
If you created your interview schedule outside the Handshake system, please email your schedule to [email protected] prior to your arrival. This will allow us to answer student questions and facilitate a smooth check-in process.
Getting to Campus - Location and Parking
Interview rooms are located within our suite of offices: The University Career Center, 515 E. Jefferson Street, 3200 SAB, Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Student Activities Building opens at 8:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm. Please plan to complete your business within these hours.
Parking located on Thompson Street
- Maynard Garage – Hourly rates 24 hours/day, Monday through Saturday. Entrances on both Thompson Street and Maynard Street
- U-M Visitors Parking Lot – Limited numbered spaces with a central pay machine. Entrance on Thompson Street. Hourly rates 6:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday
When You Arrive at the University Career Center
- You will be greeted by one of our staff who will collect your contact information. This is for our records and to provide a follow-up email address to the students you will be interviewing.
- Our staff will show you to the room reserved for your interviews. There you will find a copy of your schedule and a packet of the student resumes (only applicable to schedules generated through the Handshake system).
- Students will be directed to a designated waiting area where you will greet them when you are ready to conduct the interview.
- Our recruiter break room is stocked with coffee, snacks, and refreshments. There is also a dining guide that includes menus, maps, and a list of restaurants near the University Career Center.
- For wireless internet access in our office, choose the MGuest Network and agree to the terms of service.
- Within your interview room, some basic office supplies are stocked in the desk or a small cabinet located below or beside the desk.
When You are Finished with Your Interviews
You will receive an email that includes a brief Employer Feedback Form. We ask that you please take a few minutes to provide us with feedback about your experience with our students and our office for the day of interviews.
