Hello! I am Fiona, a Career Coach here at the UCC. I am passionate about empowering students to recognize and honor their skills and experiences in order to help actualize their futures. My goal as a Career Coach is to support students in connecting their purpose to the work they want to be doing! Our professional pursuits are not always so linear, and I am a huge believer in developing one's self-efficacy skills to achieve both their current and future career goals.
I hold a Master's in Higher Education with a concentration in Student Access and Success from University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and a Bachelor's in Sociology (minor in Psychology) from University at Buffalo in New York. Before my time at Michigan, I taught English in Japan for a year with Princeton in Asia; prior to that, I worked as a Student Success Coach for a year with City Year Buffalo.
