Hi y'all! I’m thrilled to serve as the Coordinator, PhD Experiential Learning at the University Career Center embedded in the Rackham Graduate School and the International Center. In this role, I get to work directly with graduate students, particularly international students, to provide dedicated career coaching, support experiential learning programs, and foster relationships with employers invested in employing advanced degree students. I care deeply about helping students find their unique paths, both within and beyond academia. I believe in what a critical and authentic approach to professionalism looks like. I identify as a member of both the LGBTQ+ and disabled communities.
Before coming to the University of Michigan, I worked in various roles in student life helping students develop leadership skills, engage with their community, and work towards their goals. I earned my Bachelor's in Arts in English from Willamette University and a Master's in Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. In 2026, I completed my Ed.D. in Higher Education Student Affairs from The Ohio State University, so I know what it means to be a doctoral student. My research focuses on applying critical theoretical perspectives to better understand the experiences of graduate students and new professionals in higher education, so the needs of graduate students is something I’m very passionate about.
When I’m not at work, you can find me cooking, teaching and doing yoga, listening to audiobooks at 2.25x speed, playing board games, exploring breweries, and spending quality time with my wife Julie and our dogs Zoey and Suvi. I’m truly excited to be part of the Rackham Graduate School community and can’t wait to support graduate students in achieving their career goals and aspirations!
