Career Coach for Graduate Students
University Career Center

Hi y'all! I’m thrilled to serve as the Career Coach for Graduate Students at the University Career Center embedded in the Rackham Graduate School. In this role, I get to work directly with graduate students to provide dedicated career coaching, professional development support, and strategic career planning. I care deeply about helping students find their unique paths, both within and beyond academia. I am passionate about social justice issues and believe deeply in what a critical and authentic approach to professionalism looks like. I identify as a member of both the LGBTQ+ and disabled communities.

Before coming to the University of Michigan, I worked in various roles in student life helping students develop leadership skills, engage with their community, and work towards their goals. I earned my Bachelor's in Arts in English from Willamette University and a Master's in Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. Right now, I’m also pursuing an Ed.D. in Higher Education Student Affairs from The Ohio State University, so I know what it means to be a doctoral student. My research focuses on applying critical theoretical perspectives to better understand the experiences of graduate students and new professionals in higher education, so the needs of graduate students is something I’m very passionate about.

When I’m not at work, you can find me cooking, doing hot yoga, moving my body, playing board games, exploring breweries, and spending quality time with my wife Julie and our dog Rupert. I’m truly excited to be part of the Rackham Graduate School community and can’t wait to support graduate students in achieving their career goals and aspirations!
