Medical school application statistics

Medical school acceptance rates can be misleading, since they depend on factors such as the total number of applicants from each school and the presence of any committee screening process. The University of Michigan does not have a pre-medical committee screen; any student may apply to medical school independently.

U-M students have historically been accepted to medical school at a rate well above the national average. However, your own success will depend on building a strong application, knowing the application process and deadlines, and applying to a realistic mix of schools.
