Workforce Recruitment Program

What is WRP?

WRP is a federal government sponsored recruitment and referral program that connects college students and recent graduates with disabilities to paid summer internships and full-time positions. WRP is managed by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and the U.S. Department of Defense’s Office of Diversity Management and Equal Opportunity (ODMEO).

Event Recap: Fall Expo 2016 Career Crawl

Do you want an opportunity to meet employers in a small group setting? Take advantage of the University Career Center's (UCC) Career Crawls! This past Fall Expo Career Crawl gave students the opportunity to speak with employers ranging from the Marine Corps to Amazon.

This event consisted of about 20 different tables with about 3-5 students and one employer at each table. Similarly to a speed dating setting, each recruiter had about 10 minutes to speak to students at their table about themselves, the company they work for, and the opportunities they are offering.

Event Recap: Ready, Set, Intern!

Finding an internship can be very stressful. Where do you begin? How do you find the internship you are looking for? Is your resume in tip-top shape? Do you know how to write an effective cover letter? The University Career Center (UCC) is the resource for you to answer all of these questions.
