The grid below illustrates ranges of mean GPA and LSAT scores of UM graduates who gained admission in 2013 to law schools nationwide and released their information back to their UM pre-law advisor through the Law School Admission Council.  In 2013, 391 out of 428 applicants from UM provided such a release.

Information in this matrix should be compared with national statistics and evaluated with great care since LSAT and GPA are not the only criteria utilized by law schools during the selection process. For assistance in planning your application strategy, please schedule an appointment with a pre-law counselor in The Career Center online (or call 734/764-7460) and/or with a pre-law advisor in the Newnan Academic Advising Center (call 734/764-0332).

Please note that in order to protect applicants’ privacy, even with applicants’ release, the LSAC does not disclose GPAs and LSATs when fewer than five individuals from an undergraduate institution were admitted to any given law school--refer to the list below for details*.

The grid below, tailored to reflect University of Michigan graduates’ admissions, is adapted from The Boston College Law School Locator 25-75, reflecting national admission data..
