Do you want to land your dream internship, and experience the summer of a lifetime with other University of Michigan undergrads in Washington DC? If so, the Public Service Intern Program (PSIP) is the perfect fit for you!

For over 40 years the University of Michigan Career Center’s Public Service Intern Program prepares undergraduate students to obtain summer internships in Washington DC, and supports participants while living in DC.

This unique program engages talented students from all academic departments and schools in securing internships in congressional supports offices, business organizations, executive offices and agencies, special interest and lobby organizations, non-profits and advocacy groups, print and broadcast media, and museums and arts organizations.

This program works with students throughout the academic year to help students define what kinds of internships to apply to, develop valuable job search skills, build a DC community, and experience life in DC. It is also a great program to meet and connect with other Michigan undergrads from all area of campus.

If this program sounds of interest to you we will be hosting two mass meetings on September 21st at 6pm in 4701 Haven Hall, and  on September 23rd at 6pm at the Ford School in the Annenberg Auditorium room 1120. We look forward to seeing you there!

What is PSIP? The University of Michigan Career Center's Public Service Intern Program (PSIP) assists talented undergraduate students from all academic departments in securing summer internship positions in Washington, DC. PSIP is a year-long program committed to helping students:   - Develop valuable job search tools and skills, including resumes, cover letters, and interviewing - Obtain an internship in Washington, DC - Make lifelong friends and connect with U-M alumni - Gain a memorable summer internship experience

Important Dates Mass   Meetings: Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at 6:00pm in 4701 Haven Hall OR Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015  at 6:00pm in 1120 Ford School, Annenberg Aud. 

Application Deadline: Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 11:59pm. Interviews: Week of October 12. Decision Day: Friday, October 16, 2015. Monthly Seminars: Throughout academic year

Application Tips - All majors and student levels are encouraged to apply. - We are looking for demonstrated
interest in public service work, a willingness to commit to the PSIP program, and a desire to be part of the PSIP community both in a2 & DC - The application process is two-fold: 1. Submit your application by the deadline:  Sunday, October 4, 2015 2. Selected applicants will interview in the Career Center with PSIP alums.
