Most Reference Letter Service transactions are carried out exclusively electronically. However, some paper forms continue to be available for the convenience of some UM faculty and alumni/ae without a UM ID#.
Opening/Renewing a Reference Letter File
Open/renew a reference letter file using the following paper forms:
Requesting Letters from Recommenders
Make an online request for letters to be written on your behalf
Submit your request using the RLS Evaluation Form
Sending Your Reference Letters
Submit your request on paper, click on the appropriate mailing option:
Overnight Request Form — Check to make sure the addresses to which letters are being sent are both complete and accurate. UPS (the carrier) will not deliver to P.O. boxes or P.O. Box ZIP codes.
Note: please submit the Overnight Request Form in addition to the Letters Plus! Release Form
