TYLER'S PICK: Market Research Intern - Cleveland Indians Baseball

With the World Series underway, it has me thinking about fandom. How do we come to know a team? How do we decide who to root for in the game? What makes us love our team no matter the outcome they produce? It's all about the brand.

Just like consumers must choose which brand of sneaker to buy, consumers of sports much choose which team to support. As a Market Research intern, you will get to learn about all of that! You will help shape the Cleveland Indians brand by learning more about the fanbase by conducting research, providing suggestions, and watching a little bit of the games!

Interested? Search in Handshakes for "Internships", and then select "Marketing" as a job function and this opportunity will be there!

NATE'S PICK: Special Events Coordinator - SPORK!

This position really stood out to me at first by the name of the company (SPORK!) and after seeing that they had a Special Events Coordinator position available, I was intrigued to look more into it. The company is an advocacy nonprofit and website for people who have cognitive, physical and non-apparent differences. Their main and most important goal is to validate the differently able by assisting in giving them a unique and united voice, whilst authentically representing their community. Due to my background and having an interest in working with people with differences, I really love what this company seems to be doing and to have a hand in planning events to make a difference not only within the company but with the individuals they serve seems really rewarding to me.

If you have a passion for making a difference and are excited by the fun and logistics of event planning skills you may have gained from your campus involvement, this would be a great opportunity to put those skills to use at an outside organization.
