JOELLE'S PICK: External Communications and Public Relations: Communications at University of Michigan Athletics

Are you interested in Marketing and Sports? If so check out this neat internship opportunity for students that are interested in staying in the Ann Arbor, Mi area.  It's a communications and Public Relations internship for U of M's athletics! U-M’s rich athletics tradition began in 1865 and continues to this day with the Wolverines claiming more than 50 national championships in 12 sports. Their students, faculty and staff also regularly participate in dozens of intramural, club sport and fitness activities. 

Intern’s time is split about 50/50 between office hours and assisting at sporting events. Each intern works approximately 4-8 hours per week in the office. In addition, students can sign up to work events on a game-by-game basis or make a season-long commitment to work all home games for a particular sport (hours per week will vary depending on event schedules).

ALEX'S PICK: Human Resources Internship / Co-Op (Summer 2016) at Tesla Motors

Tesla is a large up- and coming automotive company based in California. With over 13,000 people globally, there are several opportunities to network and expand within this industry.

Tesla is currently looking for a Human Resources intern within their California office. Interns will work on various projects including data management, processing benefits, researching new benefits, and implementing global health initiatives to ensure an optimal working environment for Tesla employees. In addition, interns will help to develop a training curriculum for Tesla employees.

Prospective interns should be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Communications or any other business related program. Previous internship experience is a plus. Interns must also have some experience with data management.
