Andree Joyaux, Recruitment Coordinator

ANDREE'S PICK: Summer 2019 Europe Reporting Internship at the Wall Street Journal
APPLICATION DEADLINE: November 20th, 2018

This internship looks awesome! The Wall Street Journal is one of the premiere publications in the world with hugely successful print and online content, paid for by subscribers (not just free!). The internship is open to undergrads and graduate students of all majors and is located in London (coolest city!) although there may be opportunities for working in one of the other WSJ European bureaus, such as Paris (even cooler city!), Rome, Berlin or Brussels. WSJ interns support reporters and editors to deliver content for the area they cover (e.g., finance, business, culture, international, etc.) -- but more importantly, the interns are expected to pursue their own story ideas and follow them through to completion (with assistance from editors) -- such a great opportunity! Working for a media company in today's world would be such an incredible experience. Think how fast our news cycle moves now -- what's news this morning is already old news later in the day -- those stories are "so five minutes ago!" This means candidates must be able to work independently and under deadline pressure. And fluency in English and at least one other additional European language is required. Just a reminder of how important it is to be multi-culturally aware and globally fluent, including speaking more than one language.

Please apply and let me know how it goes. I want to visit anyone who gets one of these positions!
