True Friends is a non-profit organization which provides summer camp opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. They feed campers with very specific dietary needs everyday, and are looking for interns to assist in this process. Responsibilities include:
- Developing alternative menus and helping to prepare meals
- Talking with caregivers about special diet requirements
- Assisting with training kitchen staff
- Answering questions about the nutrition of special diets
This internship is located in Annandale, Minnesota, and runs from May-August. It is unpaid, but meals and housing are provided. This internship seems like a great opportunity for anyone who wants to gain experience helping others or is interested in nutrition and special diets.
