MARIELLA'S PICK: Medical Scribe

Scribing is becoming an increasingly popular option among pre-health students seeking paid clinical exposure.  Although typical duties are mainly clerical, scribes have the unique opportunity to watch one or more physicians in action as they diagnose and treat patients, all the while honing their listening and summarization skills and learning medication terminology

Although both part time and full time positions exist, full time Scribing can be a meaningful way to spend a gap year prior to applying to medical school, PA school, etc.  Search your Handshake account for other Scribe positions like this one!
