Where to Apply

On average, students nationwide apply to about 15 allopathic medical schools and six osteopathic medical schools. Determining which schools to apply to is based upon your interest in specific programs while taking into account state residency status, medical interest, cost of tuition, and your academic record. The pre-medical counselors in The Career Center are available to help you identify resources for appropriate school investigation. Selective information about University of Michigan students who matriculated into medical school in previous years is available in the office and may be helpful when considering where to apply. This information can only be accessed with a valid student ID in The Career Center Library.
