Admission Criteria
Past academic performance is an important indicator of how an individual
is likely to perform in law school. The selectivity of the undergraduate
institution, the difficulty of the major, and the grade trend are
all taken into consideration in the evaluation of an individual's
academic record. However, law school admission committees take into
consideration other factors beyond applicants' undergraduate and
graduate (if applicable) grade point average. They also heavily
weigh the LSAT score, extracurricular activities, work experience,
community service, letters of reference, personal statement, race
and ethnicity, state residency, leadership, and barriers encountered.
