Career Counseling and Advising

Counseling Staff photoCareer counseling and advising at The Career Center provides students and recent graduates opportunities for one-to-one sessions where we can we meet you “where you are” in your process. We look forward to offering feedback, strategies, and advice whether you are “clueless” or very focused; looking for a concentration, internship, job, graduate program or professional school, or simply just exploring. Choose from four services below to fit your individual schedule and career needs:

Advising
For immediate assistance with your career needs stop by and talk with a career advisor. Advisors can help by spending 10 - 15 minutes talking with you about a range of career concerns including: resume reviews, connecting majors and careers, career options, job search strategies, interviewing, applying to graduate and professional school, and additional Career Center services and resources. Career advising is offered daily throughout the year and at various location around campus.

Instant Message Advising
For quick questions look for this icon on our website to ask us quick questions. Click on the icon for hours and availability.


Career Counseling
Schedule a half hour or one hour appointment with a career counselor to discuss your individual career needs. Explore career options, discuss decisions, receive career assessment test results, build job search strategies, prepare for interviews, or prepare for continuing education in a one-to-one session. Videotaped Mock Interviews
Prepare for your interview by participating in a final dress rehearsal. Gain interviewing experience by answering questions, watching yourself on video, and receiving feedback from a Career Center representative during a half-hour session. Available to all students seeking a job, internship, or applying to medical school. Please call 764-7460 or stop by the Information Desk to schedule an appointment.
