About the Collection
The Career Center library provides resources to help with every
stage of the career planning and job search process. Our non-circulating
collection, available during our regular office hours, is one of
the largest libraries in a university career office nationwide.
Come in and browse the collection, or ask for help in finding specific
resources. The collection includes:
- books on all aspects of career planning and job searching
- graduate and professional school information and directories
- articles and brochures on over 100 career fields, from accountant
to writer
- employer research information
- job lists and announcements
Books, joblists, handouts and other resources cover these topics:
- career descriptions and information on hundreds of occupations
- specific information on careers in nonprofits, government, education
and international opportunities
- lists of organizations/employers in virtually all career fields,
and in many geographic areas
- internship opportunities, and information on how to plan an
internship search
- careers in law, the law school application process and materials
- careers in medical and health professions, medical and other
professional schools, and application materials
- job search strategies and how-to's: resume and cover letter
writing, interviewing, researching employers, changing careers
- graduate school and graduate admissions test information
- job search resources specifically for graduate students
