As a Career Consultant, Lauren works with undergraduate and graduate students on a variety of career related issues, and also serves as one of our pre-law advisors. In addition to one-on-one appointments, Lauren also conducts programs on a wide range of topics. Though she serves as the Career Center’s department liaison to history, Asian studies, and program in the environment, Lauren has also collaborated with many other academic departments and student organizations to deliver engaging and interactive workshops. Lauren spends a great deal of time each semester teaching UC 170 – Positioning Yourself for a Successful Internship and enjoys getting to know students in the classroom.
Lauren strives to create a welcoming and warm environment for students. Even when life may seem confusing, her goal is that students will leave her workshops and appointments feeling encouraged by their time together and feel empowered to implement what they gain. She comes to us from Seattle, Washington, and holds a M.A. in student development and administration and a B.A. in arts, media, and culture. When Lauren isn’t on campus you can find her traveling, reading a good book, sipping her favorite cup of coffee (remember, she’s from Seattle), spending time outdoors, or simply hanging out with her family and friends. She looks forward to meeting you!
