Parking
As on many large campuses, parking is challenging and extremely limited. Construction on campus and increased demand for faculty/staff
parking has led the Parking Services office to limit visitor parking.
Therefore, The Career Center cannot sell visitor permits.
We strongly suggest the use of airport shuttle and taxi services
to avoid the challenges of parking.
The following suggestions are provided to make your visit to the
University of Michigan as easy and pleasant as possible.
Curbside Drop-Off Service (see map: red push pin)
Take advantage of our convenient drop-off service prior to parking.
Staff is available to assist you in transporting your materials
to the event during the times listed:
Fall Events
Law Day / 10:30am–12:00noon
Fall Career Expo / 12:30pm–2pm
Graduate School Information Fair / 2:30pm–4pm
International Opportunities Fair / 12:30pm–2pm
Winter Events
Winter Career Expo / 12:30pm–2pm
Not-for-Profit Career Expo / 12:30pm–2pm
Education Job Fair / 8am–9:30am
Hotel Parking Facilities (see Accommodations list)
On-campus hotels offer the best parking option.
All are within easy walking distance of the Michigan Union (the
event site). See the “Walking Distance” section of the
Accommodations List.
Validated Parking: Maynard Street City Public Parking (See map: yellow push pin)
2 blocks from the Michigan Union (event site) this is the closest
parking structure. The Career Center will validate up to 6
hours of career fair parking at this location only. Bring
the parking stub to the event for validation. All parking
signs in the structure apply.
Taxi Service
Local taxi services are also an alternative to locating on-campus
parking. Check with your hotel for information on taxi service to
the Michigan Union. Please allow up to 30 minutes for pick up.
Airport Shuttles
Shuttles are available for transportation to and from Detroit Metropolitan
Airport.
The Career Center is not responsible for parking violation
tickets.
